An overview of what it means to be human and how by understanding our own humanity we can seek to live our lives in the best way possible to meet our needs.

This course includes and overview of mental distress and mental illness such as stress, depression and anxiety and explores both the risk and protective factors in our life and lifestyle that impact our wellbeing.
We will demystify some or the common stigma and how it can prevent us from seeking help and explore some self-care tips that can be adopted to protect our wellbeing.
We explore how we can support and assist others in our circle who may be experiencing mental health challenges.
Coping with Depression

A facilitated exploration into depression that includes a common-sense overview of understanding depression.

We discover the impact of depression on peoples lives and the factors that could make it more common to struggle this includes a in depth look at what we can do to minimise the impact of depression buy building good support structures and lifestyle factors. As with all our sessions we will also explore some practical self-care tips and where to get help.
Getting better Sleep

A guide to sleep and its purpose and why it so fundamental to our wellbeing.

An introduction to improve our sleep and discovery into how sleep problems can disrupt our mental and physical health and some tips and tricks for how to improve our sleep hygiene to get better sleep.
Managing Stress

Discover strategies to increase resilience and by understanding what stress is and how it impacts the body and mind.

With some guided explorations into our human behaviours and coping mechanisms alongside self-care tips and techniques to deepen our understanding and increase our ability to cope with life stressors.
Overcoming Anxiety (including overcoming panic attacks)

A brief journey to understand our humanity and how anxiety impacts our brain.

This course is coupled with an exploration of some coping strategies and things you can do to lesson the likelihood of anxiety as well as some tips and advice on seeking further help.
Self-Harm Awareness

An exploration into self harm behaviours including exploring the underlying factors, who is at risk and how to support those who may be self harming.

This course includes facilitated discussions with an open dialogue about self harm. Highlighting how we can prepare ourselves for difficult conversations and explores building coping and resilience strategies.
Suicide Awareness

An emotive session looking at suicidal thoughts and intentions covering causes of suicidal feelings and what you can do support yourself and others if they are at risk from suicidal thoughts.
This course is suitable for everyone who wants to feel a little more prepared to address the issues of suicidal thoughts and feelings for people they come into contact with.
Understanding Relationships and Loneliness

A discovery of loneliness including what the experts say.

Understanding our humanity and why community and relationships are fundamental to human wellbeing, how can we benefit our relationships and a few tips and tricks to improve our interactions with others to benefit our relationships and wellbeing.
Mental Health First Aid (MHFA)

Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) is a training course which teaches people how to identify, understand and help someone who may be experiencing a mental health issue.

MHFA won’t teach you to be a therapist, but it will teach you to listen, reassure and respond, even in a crisis – and even potentially stop a crisis from happening.
You’ll learn to recognise warning signs of mental ill health, and develop the skills and confidence to approach and support someone while keeping yourself safe.
