SECE Mind welcomes David Sollis as new CEO
South East and Central Essex Mind is pleased to announce the appointment of their new CEO, David Sollis.
David joins the charity as part of an extensive career leading charities across the Essex area. He has previously held the role of CEO at both Colchester and Tendring Youth Enquiry Service (YES) and Healthwatch Essex. David is also a member of the Active Essex Board of Trustees and has a keen interest in Health and Social Care, Community Engagement and Youth Services.
David said
‘I am very excited and inspired to lead such an amazing charity. The staff, board members and volunteers make a real impactful difference to people’s mental health.
As individuals and as a country, we are currently facing a lot of challenges and strains on our mental wellbeing, and I am looking forward to working with the team to provide the best possible services for the community.’
SECE Mind is a local independent mental health charity providing high quality services and training across Chelmsford, Castle Point, Rochford, Southend-on-Sea and South Woodham Ferrers. Our services include Counselling for adults and children, Supported Housing, Wellbeing Mentoring for young people, Mental Health Training and free Mental Health Signposting for anyone who needs it.
David has embraced the new role quickly and has already visited the Mind Federation HQ to meet Dr Sarah Hughes, National Mind CEO, and is keen to connect with other Local Minds and organisations in the area.
